Contraindications
Use is prohibited in the following cases :
- Electronic implants
- Pacemaker or implanted defibrillator
- Implanted neurostimulator
- Fever
- Pregnancy
- Active cancer
- Copper IUD (in the treatment area)
- Metallic jewelry (in intimate areas)
Use may be allowed outside the treatment area in the case of :
- Recent surgery (within 1 year)
- Areas of skin with no sensitivity
- Bruising
- Metal implants
- Implanted port catheter (Port-a-Cath)
Use permitted with a doctor’s note for :
- Phlebitis
- Epilepsy
- Pulmonary insufficiency
- Heart conditions
- Stroke (CVA)
- Pulmonary embolism
- Cancer in remission (less than 5 years)
